Energy-Recovery-System (ERS)


The Energy Recovery System combines precisely these two viewpoints. Surplus energy from a standard drive and a servo drive is not being implemented by braking resistors into heat, but returned by the ERS back to the system, so that the total energy consumption of your plant and machinery is reduced. Due to the compact design, which resembles a braking resistor in the same performance, the ERS is used for retrofitting existing plants or equal configured in new plants.
This system makes it possible for AC standard motors and servo drives to regain energy directly without loss up to 5kW peak power. In an electrical drive, which is operated with a frequency inverter, electric energy is produced by the kinetic energy which can be taken up under certain circumstances only partially by the frequency inverter. The ERS feeds the recovered electrical energy directly and without intermediate storage back into the system. Formerly, energy crushing braking resistors were used - Today the ERS is projected at this point.
